Commemorating the dead of the Second World War – CWGC round table The CWGC has undertaken a five-year global programme addressing historical inequalities in commemoration of the two world wars. Their first Non-Commemoration report, issued in 2021, identified inequalities in the way the CWGC commemorated the First World War dead of the British Empire, and work has continued on the Second World War in East Africa, South Africa and Southeast Asia. Dr Talat Ahmed will give a response. Postgradate research students and members of the general public are particularly welcome. This event is organised by the Second World War Network (Scotland) co-run by Professor Wendy Ugolini.
